With offices in Houston and Midland Texas we can provide quick turn around on any required service from our clients

As a full range company, we are able to provide on-site and in-house services, UT, PT, MT, VT, Eddy Current, Phase Array and our Patent PMT Scan (Preventative Maintenance Technique) using advance UT applications as well as bore scoping, hardness testing, BHA motors inspections, Motor Teardown Services, procedure writings, and Audit programs. OD Inspections also specializes in PTA Welding Applications. We have a wide range of clientele from directional drilling companies, operators, tool rental companies, sub sear repair companies, BOP companies, rig up yards and more.

OD Inspections employs only the highest-level trained NDT Level II & III Technicians in Ultrasonic (UT), Phased Array (PAUT) Magnetic Particle (MT), Eddy Current (ECT), Liquid Penetrant (PT) and Visual (VT) and certified accordance with various codes such as ASNT-TC-1A Standards and DS-1 Standards.

Our Machine shop Division specializes in the following: Manufacturing services such as Top Subs, Mandrels, Stabilizers, Rotor catch etc. Machining Services for New and Rework of API threads, V-threads, Stub Acme and Acme connections. Hard Metal applications using PTA, Wire or Carbide rods on Kick pads, Stabilizers, Crowns, FB Housings and more. Fabrication on all types of racks.  MAG PARTICLE

MAG Particle this type of testing is used for surface and sub-surface cracks on various types of materials such as welds, piping, threads, machined parts, bolts, gears, and joints.

 ULTRASONIC

Ultrasonic inspection uses high frequency sound waves to conduct examinations and perform measurements. With UT we are able to detect ID indications, and surface abnormalities, and coating thickness.

 LIQUID PENETRANT (LP)

This type of highly sensitive method are used to reveal flaws by fluorescent dye. Penetrant testing is used for finding surface breaking discontinuities on relatively smooth, nonporous surfaces.

 VISUAL INSPECTIONS (VT)

We provide a variety of VT visual inspection services industries. NDT techniques are required to learn and interpret visual anomalies to determine cracks or pores that are open on the surface.

 PHASED ARRAY SYSTEM

Phased array system will include a sophisticated computer-based instrument that is capable of driving the multi-element probe, receiving and digitizing the returning echoes, and plotting that echo information in various standard formats.

 REFACING

We provide refacing services for our customers to API standards or customer specifications.

 HARDBANDING

Hardbanding is a process which greatly extends the life of tool joints and sections of steel pipe to which the material is applied. Granules of tungsten carbide are dropped into a melt puddle which is formed when a low carbon chrome based alloy is welded to an outside surface of a drill pipe.

 MANUFACTURING SERVICES

We provide manufacturing services to our customers for oil field equipment. Pipe racks, subs, skids, quills, for land base and offshore assets.

 EMI INSPECTIONS AND COATINGS

We offer Mobil solution for your pipe inspections and coatings. Our technicians are EMI certified with many years of experience.
